First I'll start off by letting you know I'm living one of my childhood dreams. My husband and I are madly in love, and we are very poor. (Who dreams of that as a child? I know...it's different.) I used to think about how romantic it would be to live off of nothing but love. My mom and sisters always laughed at me and said I'd change my mind someday. I guess they told me so...
I think it came from stories about my mom's parents. Because my grandpa was in the Navy, they lived on a base. Their first home was a tiny studio apartment with a kitchen that doubled as a bedroom when the pullout bed was down. How sweet, right?
Obviously our situation isn't that extreme, but we have had to learn to be thrifty and it's been pretty fun!
Anyway, the point of the story is that we bought a piece-of-crap couch from DI for $20 and cleaned and reupholstered it so now it rocks! We love it so much and I think it looks pretty dang good. Here are some photos:
After several hours of hard work.....our awesome new couch!
