1. To earn a little extra cash, I've been altering people's clothing. Here are a few pictures:
The shirt had longer, peasant-type sleeves at first (see the right side). I made the sleeves shorter, added gathers, and put a band around the bottom.
I made this headband for a girl out of the scraps of the bottom of her sweater-dress.
And, lastly and so cutely, an infant skirt! The mom had a long, silver dress that she wanted shortened so I made her baby a skirt with the leftovers.
After finishing our couch, it was table time. We picked up a shoddy-looking brown table with unique, off-white legs for $15 at the DI. It's covered in supplies in this picture but here it is...
The process...we were also painting our new TV stand here.
The old striped chair cushions with new fabric covering most of it up.
And now we have a sleek table and cool, covered chair.
Oh my gosh, you guys are so handy! It all looks great!
